Units 10 years or newer , most of the time they just need maintenance or parts to bring them back to life. If your units refrigerant is phased out and/or isn't efficient anymore then a replacement is recommended.
You should have your systems serviced right before each cooling and heating season.
We recommend insulating properly , having a minimum of double pane windows and an efficient a/c system.
